Pontiac GTO

Pontiac GTO — the car developed by company Pontiac, branch of General Motors, engaged release of sports cars with 1964 for 1974, and the company of General Motors Holden in Australia with 2004 for 2006. GTO often name first Muscle-car. C 1964 till 1973 as base for GTO served Pontiac Tempest, from 1974 modeling years GTO was under construction on the basis of Pontiac Ventura.

GTO was a plan of engineer Russell Dzhi (Russell Gee), engaged in Pontiac engines, and the senior engineer John De Lorian (John De Lorean). The first idea of creation GTO belongs to Shejn Vajzer (Shane Wiser). In the beginning of 1963 the heads of General Motors have let out the order in which it was forbidden the divisions to be involved in a car racing.
